The Gallagher Adventure

Six years ago today a small little girl entered the world and brought “Grace” to our lives. Her presence in our life has transcended our hearts and minds. We thank God each day for this little bundle of God’s continued pouring on our lives.

Emma Grace was 6 pounds and 10 ounces of pure grace.

When Alexis first looked at her newborn sister, her jaw dropped, her eyes widened and her amazement. Carrie and I will never forget the look on Alexis’s face.

Today is six years that Emma Grace entered the world. She has brought us joy beyond belief everyday. Here are a few pictures of Emma through the years.

In our last year of work in West Virginia, we got a group from the congregation to take a trip to Six Flags in Louisville, Ky. Here is a video of Alexis and Emma on one of the waterslides. Alexis comes down like the professional and Emma takes a little spill. Thanks to Joy for catching Emma.

Emma’s kindergarten class had their Thanksgiving play today. Her class is a blast to be around and her teachers do an excellent job teaching and working with them. Enjoy!

In late August or early September of 2005, Emma had surgery to remove a cluster of blood vessels from her right cheek. She was two and a half at the time and they had to "put her under" to perform the procedure. As any parents would be, we were scared and spent time praying.

To say the least the surgery went well and Emma did great. When we got home, she was still doped up on the medication and we decided to video her to show her later in life. To be honest, the nervousness went away when we watched her try to walk across the room. The medicine lasted for a while and she was pretty wobbly.

Yet another video from the Gallagher Video Archives has been released. This particular video was taken in the middle of 2005. We put on a Craig Morgan CD and the girls went to dancing. In this video, Alexis is 4 and Emma is 2.
