The Beach…warm, inviting, comforting. Not only is the beach an integral part of life in the Lowcountry, those words describing the beach, also, sound a lot like descriptions of the church of the New Testament…warm, inviting, comforting. The Mount Pleasant Church of Christ is seeking to build a congregation that is exemplified by these descriptive terms.

A congregation that is warm, inviting, comforting, encouraging.

A place of hope.

A place of promise.

A place of community and belonging…a family.

Unlike the beach, however, with its constantly shifting sands, we are seeking to build on the solid rock (Matthew 7:24-27) with Christ as our firm foundation. Our blueprint (2 Timothy 3:16-17) for this building process is the Word of God, given to us by the master builder himself (Hebrews 11:8-10). Indeed, God —our chief architect— provides our “blueprint” for all things. It is our aim to be true to the Gospel in our words, actions, and beliefs with Jesus Christ as our example and foundation (1 Corinthians 3:10-11).

We invite you to enter our website and explore the various tools, and resources.

We regret that several pages are under construction and not yet ready for visitors. Also, remember that the internet has lots of hallways, secret passages, and hidden dangers. For that reason, we ask that you read the following and keep it in mind as your explore this or any other internet site:

(Important Notice!) Throughout this site, you will find links to multiple websites that we hope will be useful to you. While we have attempted to link only to sites that are scripturally sound, many contain links to other sites which we have not followed. The internet contains a tremendous amount of valuable information. However, there is much that is speculative, unfounded, plainly false, or otherwise objectionable. Please understand that the “blueprint” for everything we believe about God, our relationship with Him and His church should be nothing more or less than the Bible. You are encouraged to carefully examine every “religious” thing you find from any source and compare it to the Bible–the only authoritative source that we endorse.
